Richpanel Review (2026)
A help desk built around the fact that most e-commerce tickets are one question, priced per seat instead of per resolution.

What the score measures. Five things we can verify from published material: whether pricing is transparent, whether the product can act on your systems or only answer from documents, whether the vendor still owns its own roadmap, how much independent review evidence exists, and whether the bill stays predictable as volume grows. Weighted, then scored against an ideal platform that scores 5.
BEST FOR: STORES WHOSE TICKETS ARE MOSTLY 'WHERE IS MY ORDER' · LAST UPDATED 2026-07-30
Richpanel in depth
Richpanel's design starts from an observation most e-commerce support leaders will recognise: the overwhelming majority of tickets are 'where is my order', and a customer would rather answer that themselves in ten seconds than wait for a reply.
So the product leads with a self-service portal rather than a chatbot. A customer arrives, authenticates, sees their order, and tracks, returns or cancels without creating a ticket at all. The AI layer handles what the portal does not.
What it does
- Self-service portal for order tracking, returns and cancellations
- Shopify, WooCommerce and Magento order data in the ticket
- AI replies drafted from order context
- Per-seat pricing rather than per-resolution
- Multi-channel inbox including social and WhatsApp
- Macro and automation builder
More detail on how it works
The commercially interesting part is the billing model. Richpanel charges per seat while most e-commerce automation charges per ticket or per resolution, which means improving your automation does not increase your invoice. In a category where that inversion is the loudest complaint, it is a real differentiator.
The self-service portal
The core of the product. Deflection here is genuinely free — no AI conversation, no billable resolution, no agent time. For stores where order status dominates, this alone can move a large share of volume, and it works without any of the risk that comes with an AI improvising.
Order context in the ticket
Agents see order, fulfilment and customer history without leaving the ticket. Table stakes for e-commerce support, and done competently here.
Per-seat billing
You pay for agents, not outcomes. The practical consequence: tune the automation as aggressively as you like and the bill does not move. Against a per-resolution competitor at scale this is the largest cost difference on the page.
Setting Richpanel up
Realistic time to a working deployment: Under a day on a supported platform. These are the standard steps for this category. We have not published a walkthrough specific to this tool yet.
- 01
Install from the app store
Shopify, BigCommerce or WooCommerce app install with an OAuth grant. Minutes, and the reason this category deploys faster than any other.
- 02
Confirm the order-data scope
Check the agent can read live order and fulfilment state, not just your shipping policy page. This is the whole value.
- 03
Connect your channels
Chat widget, support inbox, Instagram and WhatsApp if you sell there.
- 04
Set action permissions
Which of cancel, refund, reship and address-change the AI may execute alone. Set a value ceiling above which a human confirms.
- 05
Write the exception rules
Late deliveries, partial refunds, repeat claimants. Automated refunds attract abuse, so define the edges before going live.
- 06
Go live on order-status only
Your highest-volume, lowest-risk ticket type. Expand once you trust the escalation behaviour.
The step that takes longer than they imply. Policy definition. The integration is fast; deciding what the AI is allowed to refund without a human is the part that needs a real decision.
What the AI actually does
Every platform here says “AI agent”. It covers a bot that reads your help centre and a system that can refund a customer. This is which one you are buying.
Reclassified 16 August 2026 after reading four of its own surfaces: the AI drafts for a human, and the writes to Shopify are made by the customer in a self-service portal rather than by an agent deciding to act.
Richpanel ships no product called an AI agent — its own navigation lists Self Service, Help Desk, Social Media Moderator AI and Sidekick AI, and both /ai and /ai-agent return 404.
- Sidekick AI is an assist product. Its four documented features are prompt suggestions while an agent types, conversation summarisation, reply suggestions and translation, and every one of them helps a human rather than replacing one
- The self-service portal does write to the store, but the customer presses the button: its own page says it lets customers track orders, edit, cancel and return through an interface modelled on Amazon and Uber, and describes itself as a major upgrade from chatbots
- The order flows route rather than act. Richpanel's own documentation has the change-address flow offering instructions to contact the shipping company, the tracking-unknown variant sending the customer to a form, and Edit Order letting customers request a modification that is flagged high priority for a human
- Publishes a performance guarantee, and A/B tests its terms: the pricing page source carries paired variants swapping "Guaranteed 30% automation within first 60 days" against "Guaranteed 50% automation in 30 days", so two buyers can read two different promises on the same URL
- Billed at about $0.20 per resolved conversation on annual terms, against a $200 floor, with monthly running 1.2x annual — all three figures are in the pricing page's own script
- Migrates from Gorgias, Zendesk, Help Scout and Kustomer, which tells you who it expects to take customers from
- Named outcomes: Ridge reports $500K saved a year with CSAT rising from 88% to 96%; Jones Road Beauty reports going from 18 agents to 10 on flat or growing volume
Who Should Use It
The second list is the more useful one.
Stores where order status dominates
If most of your volume is one question with an answer that already exists in Shopify, the self-service portal is the highest-return thing you can deploy.
Teams burned by usage billing
If you have watched a per-resolution invoice climb as your automation improved, the per-seat model is the structural fix rather than a discount.
Small to mid-size merchants
Enough volume to need a help desk, not enough to want a procurement cycle. Published pricing and self-serve signup fit that shape.
Who should look elsewhere. Teams needing the most capable autonomous agent available. Richpanel's AI is competent rather than category-leading, and if your tickets require genuine reasoning across systems, Fin or Zowie will resolve more. Also a poor fit for non-retail support, where the order-centric design gives you nothing.
Strengths and Weaknesses
What Works
- Self-service deflection that costs nothing per interaction
- Published per-seat pricing you can check
- Shaped around the real distribution of e-commerce tickets rather than a demo
What Does Not
- The AI is not the strongest in the category
- Order-centric design limits it outside retail
- Smaller company than Gorgias or Zendesk, if vendor longevity matters to you
Richpanel pricing
Richpanel publishes per-seat pricing, which puts it in the minority of this category that lets you work out your cost before speaking to anyone.
The comparison that matters is against per-resolution rivals. At 5,000 monthly resolutions an agent billed at $0.99 costs roughly $4,950 in usage alone; a five-seat Richpanel deployment is a small fraction of that. The trade-off is automation depth — the most capable autonomous agents are on the usage models for a reason.
The full arithmetic
Model both against your own volume. Per-seat wins decisively at high ticket counts with a stable team; per-resolution wins when volume is low or spiky and you would rather not carry seats through a quiet quarter.
Custom and private pricing
Richpanel does not publish a rate. You have to ask, which means a sales conversation before you can compare it against anything else on this site.
Request a demo ↗Ask two things on that call: what triggers a billable event, and what the rate is at twice your current volume.
INTEGRATIONS
Our Recommendation
Who we would tell to buy this, and who we would not.
Richpanel is the sensible choice for a merchant whose tickets are mostly order status and who wants the bill to stop moving when the automation gets better. The self-service portal deflects for free, which is a structurally better deal than paying per resolution for the same outcome, and the per-seat pricing is published. It is not the most capable agent in the category — for genuinely hard reasoning across systems, look at Fin or Zowie — but for the ticket distribution most stores actually have, it addresses the volume where the volume is.
Where we write about Richpanel
4 pieces on this site name it.
- Every vendor demos the refund. Almost none of them say whose integration did it.Four of the six e-commerce platforms in this directory can change something in your store, and two cannot touch an order at all. Here is which, and the question that separates a refund that ships from a refund your engineer builds.
- Everyone advertises a resolution rate. Almost nobody guarantees one.Five vendors attach a consequence to their own resolution rate. The exact wording of each, and the one that guarantees a rate but names no remedy.
- Three meters run at once — billable conversations, Lyro AI conversations and agents — and the one you hit first decides which alternative is actually cheaper.Growth is $49.17 and stops at 2,000 conversations. The next plan up starts at $300 plus usage. Where the cliff lands, and what to move to depending on which meter caught you.

The questions people actually search for about Richpanel.
How much does Richpanel cost?
Per seat, published on its site, which makes it one of the few e-commerce support platforms you can price without a sales call.
Is Richpanel better than Gorgias?
Richpanel's per-seat billing is cheaper at high ticket volume and its self-service portal deflects for free. Gorgias has the deeper Shopify integration and stronger AI agent. Gorgias also starts at $10, so at low volume it is cheaper.
What is the Richpanel self-service portal?
A page where a customer authenticates and then tracks, returns or cancels an order themselves. Deflection with no AI conversation and no billable event.
Does Richpanel work with Shopify?
Yes, with order, fulfilment and customer data surfaced in the ticket, plus the self-service actions in the portal.
Does Richpanel charge per resolution?
No. It bills per seat, so improving your automation does not increase your invoice — the inverse of the model that generates most complaints in this category.
Is Richpanel good for non-retail support?
Not really. The product is built around orders, and outside e-commerce that design advantage disappears. Freshdesk or Zoho Desk are better general-purpose options.
What are the main Richpanel alternatives?
Gorgias for Shopify depth, Re:amaze for a cheaper small-store option, Zendesk or Freshdesk for general-purpose support, Yuma to add autonomy to a help desk you already run.
